Life BW (before Wookie)
Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 11:49AM Before Wookie (thereafter shall be known as BW), I did not need to
mop
the floor. Ani, my weekly cleaning lady does a good job once a week .
But after Wookie (to be known as AW not A & W which is a place
to have the bestest root beer float) I have to do it at least once, if
not twice a day.
BW,
our toes were safe but now, according to Alison, they are chew toys.
Newspapers are now ribbon shreds. Ali forgot we are now in the AW era
and left the current paper on the floor on her way out to school the
other day. When I came down the stairs a few hours later, it was no
more.
Our house also smell like a hospital. After his business, I insists on
cleaning up with the Dettol and a spray. I hope it masks the smell and
he does not go back to the same place to do it again. Sad to say, he
chooses another spot to do it.
Wookie also has got to be the cleanest pup in town. Sometimes, bits
of poo gets stuck on his fur and he needs a bottom wash. He is also not
nimble and keeps stepping on his pee right after. I have now officially
given my hair-dryer to him.
AW, I rush home during the days when Ani the cleaning lady comes
because she is afraid of dogs and I have to keep him locked up. Wookie
does not want to do it in his cage but when you gotta go, you gotta go.
Cleaning the cage is a lot of work and I don't particularly look
forward to it. Hence, the mad rush home from across the town to let him
out.
BW, we did not have a clown in the house. He will rush madly from one
end of the house to the other. He tries to gallop but because of his
short legs, he does not go very far, very fast. We did not have a
mischievous
pair of eye peering out from under the sofa, looking out to see if it's
safe to come out after an incident ( poo or pee at undesignated places
lah) We did not have to visit the vet. Our hours were not govern
by the Baby's schedules.
AW, my hands look like wrinkled prunes due to the amount of cleaning I
have to do. But I suppose I should be grateful for the amount of
exercise I am getting, mopping the floor, bending over to wipe mess.
Spending time having a scuffle with him. Maybe I'll be trimmer. Maybe
I'll be sexier. (My sister, Jasmine will say, "fat chance")
