Hui Ann's belated do

We gave Hui Ann a belated surprise birthday do on Thursday last. Suemae and I spent the whole day, shopping for sushi stuff and making them. When we got to the studio, we needed to find the coolest spot to put them, without raising Ann's suspicion. We needn't have worried about that. We actually place the whole huge plastic bag full of goodies up on top of the cupboard for the world to see. The game plan was, the Advanced class was to go on as usual, and at 6pm, the rest of the girls will troop up with the rest of the goodies.

Poh Lynn made this frozen lemon yogurt cheesecake thingy. She walked in, and 1st thing she said, was, "quick quick quick, we gotta cut and eat this". Erm, where's the, "Surprise! Happy Birthday! and so on........??" Seems, she did not have time and the thingy has not set properly and therefore it's MELTING! ( very like the Wicked Witch of the West in Wizard of Oz)
So we sang a very hurried 'Happy Birthday', forced Ann to cut the already melting cake and everybody digged in. A few minutes later, we were using spoons to scoop up the melted yogurt from the tray. The cake was good but OH SO SOUR! (see my face below) huiann 024.jpg

These were what's left of the sushi when I remembered to take a picture of it. They didn't last long too. Not a few mintues after taking this picture, they were gone. Sushi is very easy to make but it's a lot of hard work. huiann 020.jpg
Friends have been walking in to the studio and and stumble on a makan spree. I think people are wondering if we actually do any dancing at all.

Well, Happy Belated Birthday, Hui Ann. Many God Bless you.
