10 Reasons why you should get a Dog

Wookie is nearly 4 1/2 months old. He's been with us for 12 weeks now. Of course I remember days before we had him but I cannot imagine what it'll be like without him now. I suppose if we hold a family meeting and pool our reasons together, we'll end up with more than 10 but for the moment, it'll suffice

1.    When you wake up in the morning and stumble downstairs, no matter what time, he's there sitting at the foot of the stairs waiting to give your feet a very wet 'good morning' greet. He can't come upstairs anymore because we bought a baby-gate. Yup, we really did that!

2.    When you come home, he'll be sitting by the door ( sometimes lying down, piglet style ) waiting patiently. I mean, who else does that? My kids don't, that's for sure. They are probably doing their thing in different parts of the house. Hubby? He's probably splayed out in front of the TV sound asleep.

3.    He'll follow you everywhere as you go about doing stuff in the house. Wookie watches diligently when I cook. Perhaps, one day, he'll take over the cooking.

4.    He's a fantastic paper shredder. People who works in Intelligence Agency MUST get a dog. Guaranteed no leakage of any secret information. After he shreds, he chews them to a pulp. Sometimes he even swallows!

5.    Swimmers train by swimming laps. Wookie trains by running laps. Run to front of house, touch base (usually means slipped and hit the TV cupboard) then dashed to the back into the kitchen and newspaper-board ( in case you are wondering, it's a bit like skateboard except newspapers are used)

6.    How else are you going to get to take a bath with a dog unless you have a dog? Most of the time, you'll end up more wet.

7.    The warm fuzzy feeling when he walks over to you, lies down with his chin resting on your feet.

8.    When you are in a the middle of a game with him and he looks at you with those puppy dog eyes, literally.

9.    Who else can you give tummy rubs? I doubt David or Alison will appreciate it as much as Wookie. In case there's some of you wise-guys out there who's asking for one, I doubt you'll look as cute doing that funny cycling in the air bit.

10.    They do not hold a grudge. After spanking, they will still come over and do the No.7 thingy.

11.    For good measure, I am going to add another. What can create such a bond between family member and friends? Wookie has been the centre of attention for many since he came into our lives, giving us countless moments of laughter, fun and love.

Sigh.... I know it is an enjoyment when we have a doggie around, and I was dying to have one, and due to this I have decided to buy a landed property in the years to come.....
