2nd post about my birthday.

I wrote a massively long post on my birthday (yeah, you have to take my word for it that it was massively long) but when I click 'Save & Close' something magical happened. It disappeared. It is now floating somewhere in cyberspace, all lost and alone................wait a minute, perhaps not alone. I'll bet there are massively other postings that's floating about somewhere in cyberspace. I am NOT doing it again, the same post, I mean.

When it disappeared, I was not entirely livid. I did not think it was particularly interesting. All everybody needs to know is, nothing super special happened on that day. I had breakfast with Linda and Jenny in Imbi which was nice. I cooked and cleaned for LifeGroup which was meeting at my house that night. I taught the children in LG that night, which was kind of interesting and fun because it's always fun to interact with kids. I had 2 jelly cakes on this birthday. 1st was in the studio.

There were loads of calls and messages urging me to go on living for many more years ( or something to that effect) YiVonne called all the way from Perth *muaks* . Wan Tze actually sent a snail mail card, which was really nice. It's always nice to get something other than bills in the letter-box which leads me to digress a little here.

Today, I received my RAD membership card and the thingy which I need to hang up in the studio to tell everybody I am legit. But due to the amount of junk mail stuffed into my box (yeap, and you think you only get spammed online), the postman could not push in the envelope completely. It fell out, it rained...................and guess what, it got completely soaked! Now the thingy that tells people I am legit does not look legit anymore. In fact, it looks like a sign from one of those pasar malam stalls - rain splattered etc. No, actually it's worse, these are soaked through. I'll have to ask them to send it again.

Back to birthday post which I lost, Andrew took us out to a scrumptious dinner at Mei Keng Fatt. We devoured crabs, slurped shark's fin soup ( I am not a politically correct person where shark's fin is concerned) We also had that great bottle of white, compliments of Hui Ann and Su-Anne. Then David left to another party. Andrew, Alison and I went to Alexis for my tiramisu but of course, they've run out! Ah well, I had a slice of Pavlova instead which was as big as my face. Sinful, I know

So there you are, the gist of the lost post. Oh yes, I have to post those pictures again...............................

Here's the 2nd jelly cake. Power Puff Girls because we were also celebrating Sally and Serene's birthday which was on the 5th.  60135-508971-thumbnail.jpg
Girl Power!

Andrew gave me a really beautiful bunch of flowers. Well, he actually gave me another bunch for our anniversary a few weeks' ago but I forgot to take a picture of it. This time, I remembered. 60135-510508-thumbnail.jpg

Well, the day may not have been spectacular but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Next year, I would like to do NOTHING for my birthday. I want to go window shopping on my own. Have a leisurely lunch, shop some more, sip some tea and watch the world go by, have someone pick me up and have a nice dinner, without having to cook it. (Note to self: I must remember. But the problem is, I am getting older and memory is fading fast........................................)

PS: I remembered to make a copy before clicking the Save & Close.

Hehe, personally, after I lost a couple of posts, I started writing in Notepad instead! When ready, just copy and paste - I didn't lose anymore posts and I didn't lose anymore hair!

These days, I use Zoundry instead.... it's rocking good, and free to boot!

Come over next year - I'll take you to tea and I promise, you won't have to cook, clean, teach or anything!

That is SOoooooooooo NICE! But if I am ever there, I will not settle for tea only. A West End show, a ballet at Covent Garden, no less.
