BlackOut!

It was about 8.15pm last night. We had just finished dinner. I was washing up, Alison was mopping the floor, Andrew was taking out the rubbish with David replacing the rubbish bag in the bin and Wookie was just finishing his last few chomps of dinner, when suddenly we were plunged into darkness.

We groped about in the dark, trying to find lighters, torchlight, candles and so forth. By the time Andrew got to his hand phone which has a little torch to go to his car for his bigger torch, I already had a candle going.

We sat about in the flickering candlelight for about an hour, waiting for the power to come back on. It became unbearably hot and stuffy and Andrew suggested a car ride. All 5 of us bundled into the car and we aimlessly wandered about when I suggested going to Ju's place.

"They will be sleeping lar", Andrew said.

"Nolar, it's only 9.30pm. I'll call"

And called I did. We turned the car around and headed for Bukit Mas. FYI, we noticed that it does not not matter which area is suffering from a power outage, my area will definitely be affected, always!

Kirsten and Megan had a terrific time with Wookie. Kirsten and Wookie even exchanged toys, with Wookie hanging on for his dear life to a stuffed Barney and Kirsten walking around with Wookie's favourite green ball.We decided that they are quite a comical pair. Almost Laurel and Hardy. Of course the highlight of the evening was when the Barney Wookie had in his mouth began to 'sing' "London Bridge is Falling Down" It freaked him out. He could not understand why this thingy he had in his mouth was making such a ridiculous racket. He came bounding up to David and I with that, "Please help me" look. Priceless!

I must say, this has been one of the most enjoyable BlackOuts we have had.
