2nd Anniversary of Katryna Ballerina

It's been 2 weeks since my last post! Not that I have nothing to say. In fact I have loads and don't know where to begin. Also internet connection has been bad. ( Do I hear a groan? "She's going to go on and on about that again??!!") Nah, that's a passe subject.

I have been so busy! It was catching up time with friends and family. I had 5 days off last week - whoopee! But it just sort of slipped by and I had not even done half the things I wanted to do. I also spent a lot of time resting. It must be the age. I find myself more and more tired these days. Yah, and I managed to get rid of RAT, cleaned out the back of the cupboard which is full of rat poo and stuff. Stuff which was mainly Andrew's sweet wrappers which RAT stole (the sweets, I mean) He (Andrew, not RAT) kept harping on who had been eating all his sweets. Turned out it was RAT. The amount of poo at the back was way too much for a RAT and last night, sadly, David confirmed that another was running about in the house. "Sigh" RAT-buster is once more called upon to bust another RAT.

I also went for Starlight Cinema with Andrew. And that was TOTALLY COOL! I will admit I was not all that keen in the beginning. Why go and watch something in the open and breathe in hazy air , sit on dirty, wet ground and be totally uncomfortable? But when we got there, I was excited. There was some sort of a magical, festive atmosphere. The feature was MI2 and MI3. We only sat through MI2 because the damp got through the towels we brought and right through my underwear. (Not cool! Although, perhaps, cool may be the word, since my bum was damp and damp is cool - as in cold/cool) This is the 1st time I am watching MI2 and I think it sucked. I like Tom Cruise but this is going way overboard. It should have been called Tom Cruise and not MI2. The whole movie was........"Look how cool TC is! TC is sexy! TC looks good in sunnies so TC MUST wear sunnies. TC look good in black..............blahs" Oh nearly forgot to mention. The tickets was courtesy of Alison. She specially entered this certain contest to win the tickets for us. Love you, Sweetie! MUACKS!

But the past week had been spent concentrating on my friend who's been diagnosed with leukemia. It was just all so sudden and most of us are still in shock about it. She's the ever so active and vivacious person. As she now embark on her treatment, I will support her in prayer.

Yesterday, Andrew and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary. He totally surprised me with a bunch of flowers. I had forgotten how to receive them. We went out for lunch, just the two of us but for dinner, it was a family affair. We went to Shook! in StarHill. A pretty posh place. Even waitresses wear tight sexy black dresses. After dinner, Alison and I went in search of the washroom and got lost. We went through this weird 'lit up like stars' passage and found ourselves in the adjacent hotel. Alison said it was the 'stars' fault. Totally mesmerised us into getting lost. Then when we found the washroom, it was a new experience again. They have 2 wheels to 'pump' water for the basins. The cubicles had quaint little wooden blocks for locks and the walls were made of uneven bricks. Yup, I seemed to have spent more time explaining the toilet than the actual dinner, which, was actually VERY good. We did the whole works, we had Italian, American, Japanese dll (dan lain lain) We had fun passing each other portions of food to try. That must have shocked the Shook! staff. Despite the heavy dinner, David and Alison still had space for ice-cream. Different compartment in the stomach for ice-cream?

And today.................... is the 2nd anniversary of blogging for me. I made my maiden voyage 2 years ago. I also happened to read Ju's blog on 'Who do you write for?'

I was actually pondering on that question for a while now, since I read some articles in the papers not too long ago about blogging and bloggers. (Amazing! Katy read the papers!) Who do I write for? Weird though it may sound, for everybody and nobody. I began blogging because 'It was just another thing to learn'. I will confess I am still not savvy with it. There are loads of stuff which I know I can do but I just don't learn to do them. However, 2 years down the line, and I am STILL doing it. 'Do I care if nobody reads my postings?' Well, it would be nice if Somebody does but if not, it's ok. They are for me to read later and reminisce that 'oh this happened' or 'wow! I had forgotten that!'.............

But is it really true that NOBODY reads my postings? Apparently not. I know there are lots of people out there who visits my blog but never leave any comments. I just happen to have shy friends, I guess. It's totally alright. My postings are also a sort of up-dater. Friends and relatives from near or far can find out what's up with me at a click.

Guess I will sort of blog for a while longer. Never mind if I am talking to myself.  Never mind if nobody comments. It used bother me a little in the early days. The sort of, how come I don't have friends sorta moments but no more. Yup, I will sort of blog for a while longer.

You mean milking for comments is...... wrong?! :P
September 6, 2006 | Unregistered CommenterJulian
I believe people should comment only if they wish to do so despite getting the feeling that they are 'milked', not to say that I was milking!?? :p
