We bought a house in Klang

What!

Wah! So Far!

Walau eh!

Huh?

Why Klang?

Those were some of the reactions I received when I made that announcement. Wait, let me begin from the beginning.

About a month ago, I had to go to Klang for one of my PTS visits.  Andrew, being the wise hubby that he is, figured it'll be less a hassle to drive me there than to have me get lost and receive a call from me asking him to find me. So, after the the PTS visit, we sort of explored another way to go home.

We some signs about a new township. Since we are professional show house visitors, we could not resist having a look. When we got to the site office/ show village, they were having some sort of Chinese New Year Chop Goh Meh celebrations. Noise, MEGA NOISE! We escaped into the show village, checking out the Interior Designs, the houses, basically day-dreaming. Then we stumbled on a fairly affordable house. The salesperson then told us there weren't many of that particular design left and took us to look at this. We were very taken with it, plus salesperson told us  we can place a booking and get every Sen back if we  change our minds. Well, why not? (Fast forward........)

2 weeks ago, Andrew called me from the office telling me the loan has been approved. Then begin the tussle, to move not to move, to buy not to buy. The final decision was made when we took David and Alison to look at the show house. They thoroughly approved. So, we could be moving even as early as before Christmas. The house is almost ready. Even the windows are up. Here's a tiny picture of the actual show unit. 60135-761614-thumbnail.jpg
Our House

Moving there will mean commuting for everybody. Although distance may be far but traveling will be via highways and it takes a shorter time.  It will mean more garden space for me. Andrew will get his koi pond. I will, at last, have a store room. There's also a guest room downstairs for my parents should they want to come for a longer than a few hours visit. My nephews can come for sleep overs. When my god girls get bigger, they, too can come over.

Despite the initial reactions from most people, they are glad for us. Oh, it should be noted that 2 people reacted differently from the above. When I told my sis, Michelle, that I have something to tell her, she asked me if I bought a house. ( Aiyah! So much for a surprise) Ju's reaction was so amazing - "Hey, Great!"

Why Klang? We have seen many houses ( not to buy, remember, we are professional show house visitors?) and we know we cannot afford anything in the Ulu Kelang area. At least not anything bigger than what we have. Andrew remarked that he never imagine we will move to Klang. I suppose it makes life more exciting to go things unimaginable.

So here's an open invitation for all to come over for a visit, when we move there.

Yes, most definitely I want a herb garden. Seeds pls! As for BBQ, I am thinking of having one built :p Figure it may be a good way to be neighbourly, invite them over for barbies. What's this about Klang and bakuteh. I have yet to find out where they are!
