« MUMMY! I WON | Main | Tango Fire »

A Sunday week ago was Mother's Day. On the way to church, David and Alison wished me and then Ali asked me what I wanted. I promptly asked for a vacuum and mop session for the whole house. "But Mummy, I don't know how to operate your Karcher!"

"It's ok. Even a mop session will suffice."

So after church service, the kids went home (hopefully to clean the house). Andrew and I went down to One Utama for an afternoon of window shopping. Although exams finished a few weeks' ago, it seemed like there's always something to do the past few Sundays. So it was technically my 1st Sunday free.

When we got there, Andrew said that he will buy me a MontBlanc again.  I had already refused once. He offered to get me a replacement just as soon as the other one got stolen. But this time, I figured if I turn it down once more, he may never offer again.Fun pushing. When we got to the shop, he asked me to look at a watch. I looked and I liked. Then came the question, "So which one you like better?"

"Actually, I like both. So you pick for me lar"

"Ok. Then I will get both for you. The watch AND the pen. It'll be this year's presents.  Birthday, anniversary, Christmas, everything."

"How about Mother's Day?"

"That also." (Shucks!)

So, I got my MontBlanc pen back. The very same model  I had before. Somehow, others don't seem so appealing. I was shown the latest arrival and some of the others but in the end, it's the same one. Mmmmmmmm, I wonder. If I had my life to live all over again, I will probably make the same decisions again. Marry the same man, buy the same car, do the same things....................

And here's what my new Tissot watch look like. Isn't it a beauty? 60135-830254-thumbnail.jpg
My new Tissot
It's a chrono watch and yet I do not even know how to operate it. I know, I know. Learn! Perhaps, in time I will. And it came in a super duper heavy box! Mind you, the watch is not half heavy either. I've had it for a week now, and I still need somebody to unbuckle it for me. If I attempt to do it myself, I'll probably break my nail! [ I am beginning to sound like a downright bimbo here] Andrew did say that the clasp will probably be less stiff in time.

With my new MontBlanc, I have completely restored all that were lost in the bag snatch incident. All the important items, that is. There are, of course, some things which are irreplaceable but if I don't miss it, I am not going to give it another thought. In fact, at this moment, I am even going to bless the thieves. I hope my bag gave them some moments of happiness. But ultimately, I hope one day, they will be struck with remorse for all the crimes they have committed and that they will know no peace till they have repented.

And, here's the other new addition to my little toys.............................

So altogether, it was not a bad Mother's Day. And I even got my whole house mopped!
