Pet Food
Monday, December 1, 2008 at 01:25AM I was with my friend, Ang when he got his 1st Chinchilla. A chinchilla fur is ever so soft. No wonder people are after it for fur coat. Since then, his menagerie grew. I really have no idea how many he has now. They are SO cute.
With so many, he began to breed them for sale. But he will often tell me it's so difficult to part with them because of the emotional attachment he developed. But they are not cheap to maintain because he always ensures the best of the best for them.
For his babies, he researched and asked many experts for advices. He will source out the finest food for them. He will often lament that the food available in the market is not of good quality/ not fresh/ not nutritious enough........... Then, fed up, he decided to go into the pet food and care business.
I wish my Wookie is an ordinary dog and so I can get stuff from Ang because I know he will get me the best stuff. But Wookie has so much allergy problems that I have to cook his food. Yup, he gets home-cooked food. I will make soft rice with chicken fillet and blend it into a creamy paste. He loves it. It's a lot of work but if he does not get sick, it's worth it.
A vet told me once Wooks could be a result of in-breeding and his problems could be due to a weak gene. Well, he's ours and he's family. So no matter what problems he may have, for better or for worse he's here to stay.

Valen: I sometimes wish I am a puppy too. No worries, no cares. Whoever coined the phrase "it's a dog's life" to depict hardship obviously do not know what kind of life Wookie has.
