Mummy! I got it!

Sometime mid-March, my Alison got her SPM results. Although she did not do badly, her result slip was not littered with 'A' s either. But nevertheless, I was proud of her.

Then, after that, there were endless discussions about where to go to continue her education. She wants to major in Mass Communications, specialising in Public Relations. I suppose she'll excel since she loves talk and communicate.

We went college hunting, the 1st stop - SEGI College. My 1st impression - WOW! Yup, even Mum was impressed. The building is new and impressive. we were taken for a tour and of course we got even more impressed. I am a packaging person and therefore, it goes without saying, I was won over. So after SEGI, we just stopped looking at other colleges. Well, Ali sort of made up her mind.

Then we saw some adverts on 8TV about scholarships being offered. Ali downloaded the application forms and sort of 'sat' on it for weeks. Then I bugged her to complete them. She told me it was the essay that stumped her. But in the end, she managed to get it done and we hand delivered it.

Then she was asked to go for the interview. "Mummy, have to wear formal!"

*shucks* She has no formal wear. In the end, she wore my plaid skirt with a marron top. She looked so good. Interview came and went. "How was it?"

"Ok la"

This Monday, after nearly 2 weeks without hearing from them, we set off to SEGI to enrol. Scholarship's gone bust. Alison went up to the 5th floor to double check if they sent out any notices. She had to wait forever because the lady in charge was interviewing some other people. Alison thought, "Die la. Others have been called for 2nd interview and I have not. The scholarship's done in" When the lady told her SHE GOT IT, she could not believe it and had to ask her several times.

Well, it's all true. Today she was at the press conference where she was handed the offer letter and so on and so forth.

Full tuition and examination fees for the next 2 1/2 years! Way to go, my Sweetie! I am so proud of you.

All I can say is, it's all God's Goodness!
