How RUDE!
Friday, January 23, 2009 at 01:29PM Yesterday, I was at the wet market. Wet market, as all wet markets are, was busy, congested and cluttered. There was a very narrow path between two stalls. I needed to get across. With two ladies standing astride, the path was blocked. I had left Mum standing by the side of the road waiting for me to get the car. So I politely said, "Excuse me?"
One lady did not hear because she was busy talking to the grocer. But the other lady turned around and glared saying, "I am standing here. How to excuse you?"
I was dumbfounded! She was actually on the phone - not even buying anything. And she was BIG! Blocking 3/4 of the path. I could be rude in return and say something like, "How not to excuse me? Your fat butt blocked 3/4 of the path!" But the will make me sink right down to her rude level.
So I left her and her big butt blocking 3/4 of the path and found another way round it. She's just not worth it to create a scene.
