Let sleeping dogs lie.

What does one do if another person 'freezes' one out?

I don't know what happened. I don't even know if there's a 'freeze' but it sure feels like it.

I suppose I could always confront - " Hey, is there something wrong? Did I do something that hurt/ annoyed/ irritated/ _______ you?"

A question like that could be precarious. If there was nothing wrong, it COULD create a potential scenario for something to go wrong. And if there really IS something wrong, that person could just say, "Nope. Nothing's wrong. Why?" and make it even more awkward.  Or that person could say, "YES! You did this and this and this and that......." And that could totally freak me out and I shall feel like the most horrible person in the entire world, perhaps even the universe.

So do I really want to know? Do I really want to find out? Shall I let sleeping dogs lie? If that person considers my friendship valuable, perhaps I will be told when the time is right, right?

Let sleeping dogs lie. Let sleeping dogs lie. Let sleeping dogs lie.........
