5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes

There's a famous account of a miracle performed by Jesus to feed Five Thousand. The account was mentioned in several portions of the Bible.

The gist of it is, these people followed Jesus to listen to His Teachings but as the day wore on, they were hungry and were very far away from town. Jesus then took the 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes from a boy, blessed it and passed it on to the disciples who then distributed it to the multitudes. In the end, after everyone was fed, they collected 12 basketful of leftovers!

I have always looked at this account from "Wow! That's a miracle I would have loved to witness. Perhaps be one of the 5 thousand" I never saw it from the viewpoint of the boy. But today, I watched a UTube clipping posted by a friend, Zoe, in the FaceBook.

It blowed my mind a wee bit. I never thought of it that way. I never thought I can be that small boy. I never thought my small offerings may touch thousands. I guess it only takes that one small step of faith and trust. We always think, "Nah, it does not matter. My contribution is so miniscule. It will amount to nothing. If that boy thought that and kept his lunch, there will not be such a miracle to inspire us till this day.

Thank you, Zoe, for sharing.
